Chicago Blackhawks at New Jersey Devils
2-1, Devils (SO)
Goals: Petr Sykora (New Jersey), Brent Seabrook (Chicago), in the shootout Travis Zajac (New Jersey)
Goalies: Corey Crawford (21/22, .955); Martin Brodeur (37/38, .974)
The Good
Two comebacks: first, Steve Montador returned after missing 22 games due to a concussion. It’s good to see him on the ice again.

Monty's been missed, at least by me.
The second is Carter Hutton, who is again filling in for Ray Emery (he has an unknown upper-body injury that is not the flu from last week). Cue the cheesy “I’ll bet I can make his name sound like a 70′s sitcom title” jokes.

Welcome back, Carter. *groan*
Like Viktor Stalberg in the last game, Brent Seabrook kept us from being shut out. I’m not exactly sure if his hair got half an assist.
Corey Crawford was outstanding considering the fact that he barely had help out there. He only allowed one goal for nearly 65 minutes and stood up to the likes of the shootout master himself, Ilya Kovalchuk. And to think, it was the first time he’d ever been in net against the Devils! (Fun fact: Corey admitted that as a youngling he had posters of Martin Brodeur on his wall. Aww!)

"It's just you and me, Squishy."
The Bad
This game was so frustrating that as Patrick Sharp sat on the bench, he slammed his stick against the boards and broke it. I never thought he’d ever get angry like that.
The Ugly
What sloppy puck possession! We barely had the puck at all in the first period, and the defense was barely visible. We are really hurting without Duncan Keith out there.
Next Game
vs. St. Louis Blues
March 29
CSN-Chicago
These guys are poised to take the President’s Trophy this season. Can we beat them in their own barn in this last meeting? I hope so!
