A battle for the best in the West(ern Conference)? Why, thank you! Now we’re only two points behind.
Marian Hossa, our beautiful Slovak superstar, made another lovely goal to get us on the board. How is this man real, I ask myself, and I don’t know the answer.
Ray Emery had another spectacular night, which just made Corey Crawford’s fans even more unhinged. Guys, cool your heels. Let Corey get his head back on straight so that he’s 200% ready when the time comes. Seriously, do you want Coach to be like Claude Noel and overwork our starter? No? Then hush.
Congrats to Jonathan Toews, who notched his 300th career point tonight on the assist to Hoss (I would like to point out that the man I’m about to mention got his 300th back on April 5, 2011). They’re seriously talking about him being a Hart Trophy contender. It’s still a bit early for that talk, but I’ll allow it in this case.
Patrick. Kane. Patrick Timothy Kane Jr. Holy kittens riding unicorns that puke Skittles coated in glitter, his shootout goal was AMAZING. Sick, sick, dirty, filthy moves that made me scream. I think Niklas Backstrom is wondering where in the name of lutefisk Kaner learned to deke like that.
Cold showers can be taken at your convenience. Smoke if you got ’em.
We fell apart in the third period and allowed those second and third Minnesota goals in the net. Not cool, guys. It’s like lately we’ve taken to blowing leads because we get too comfortable in them. Stop it.
I would also like the boys to cease and desist with the overtime/shootout stuff. It’s not good for my poor little heart, you know. Plus it gives the other guys a stupid point. I’d love to see us win in regulation in the near future.
By the way, Doc Emerick, Daniel Carcillo has a radio show on WGN, not a TV show. Sheesh.
This goes to the unsportsmanlike conduct call after Duncan Keith got a non-call when his skates got in the way on a Matt Cullen breakaway. That led to every Minny fan and their cousin booing, which led to Cullen getting the USP. Yeah, you go ahead and boo. We’re nipping at your heels.
vs. Anaheim Ducks
Another meeting of the Ducks and Hawks! Let’s see if we can put another notch in the win column against them in the new Bruce Boudreau era.
