Blackhawks-Blues Game 3 wrapup

Chicago Blackhawks at St. Louis Blues

5-1, Blues

Goals: TJ Oshie, Andy McDonald x2 and Vladimir Sobotka (St. Louis), Andrew Brunette (Chicago), Jason Arnott (Chicago)

Goalies: Ray Emery (26/31, .839); Jaroslav Halak (19/20, .950)

The Good

Well, there was Brandon Bolligs fight with Ryan Reaves

I love how his dad was in the stands cheering him on.

And then Brent Seabrook came to Patrick Kane’s defense after Kaner was hit by TJ Oshie. I wonder what Jonathan Toews (Oshie’s former teammate at the University of North Dakota) would have to say about that.

It's tough being an easy target when you're a little Peekaboo.

Ray Emery may have had a bad night, but he celebrated his being named NHL Third Star of the Week by briefly getting into a scrap.

The Bad and The Ugly

This game was bad from the moment I started listening to it. Except for the two mentioned good points, it was sluggish and just awful. Our PP is going back to where it was when it was at its worst, and our SOG total is abysmally low. On top of that, we allowed them to push us around. The longer we go without the leadership of our Toewsbot unit, the more lost we seem to be, even when we win.

Second meeting of these two teams, and it’s on Bryan Bickell’s birthday! Let’s keep the whole “winning as a birthday present” thing going!
